BOS launch New Habitat for Orangutans

Jakarta, Berling-BOS Foundation through PT. Restorasi Habitat Orangutan Indonesia / Indonesian Orangutan Habitat Restoration (PT RHOI)  tomorrow will do lauching Preparation Business License-Wood Forest Product Utilization Ecosystem Restoration (IUPHHK-RE) to Release Back Orangutan.

The event was planned at Ruang Rimbawan II, Gedung Manggala Wanabhakti, Jln. Gatot Subroto, Senayan, Central Jakarta.

In a press release explained, the release of orangutans to their natural habitat is the estuary of the entire process of rehabilitation of orangutans that have been held by the BOS Foundation since 1991. However, these activities since the year 2002 BOS Foundation can not continue because because of the difficulty getting the area that meet the criteria as a place to release the orangutans.

BOS Foundation has formed a Limited Liability Company, PT. Restorasi Habitat Orangutan Indonesia / Indonesian Orangutan Habitat Restoration (PT RHOI) in order to apply for a Business License Utilization of Forest Wood - Ecosystem Restoration (IUPHHK-RE) to manage an area with a view to restoring the ecosystem, especially for release back into their natural habitats orangutans.

The launch was carried out in line with the publication of the Letter of Approval (SP-1) from the Ministry of Forestry September 15, 2009 Number S.739/Menhut-VI/2009 to PT. Indonesian Orangutan Habitat Restoration (PT RHOI). "Where is the Department of Forestry entrust the area of 86 450 ha in East Kutai regency and in the Province of East Kalimantan, to be managed as an area of orangutan release of ex-habitat rehabilitation and conservation of Borneo orangutans," said Drs.
